Vi gratulerar Kerstin Überlacker och Michael Cavanagh till First Motion-stipendiet. Kerstin och Michael ansökte med transmediaprojektet Ghost Rockets, ett projekt som i dagsläget involverar film, webb och spel.

Juryn bestod av Johanna Olsson och Rikard Rogeland från BoostHbg samt Till Hardy, Filmförderung Hamburg Schleswig-Holstein / project manager First Motion.

Juryns motivering:
Today there are films that use the new possibilities only as marketing-/financing tools. This is not the case with Ghost Rockets, it's a true trans media project combining several platforms to create a universe around the world of UFOs. There is a great spirit in the project with a will to challange given ways and a well thought through plan that makes it seem doable. In terms of timing Ghost Rockets is also in the right stage of development to benefit from First Motion.

Stipendiet löper under 8 månader och innefattar €15 000, coaching, teknik samt två 5-dagars labb, ett i juni och ett i oktober, där projektet utvecklas tillsammans med experter och 10 andra europeiska transmediaprojekt. I Berlin, på Berlinale 2012 avslutas stipendiet med en gemensam presentation och utställning för filmbranschen och andra intressenter.
